HHHHEEELLLLOOOOOO!!!
It's been a while I know. We've been a little busy here in the Nix Family. I will try and keep you
guys updated a bit better. I'm actually updating the blog today only because my father-in-law asked me too. He's a little (A LOT) tired of seeing those darn possums. So, Here's To You Mike.
Our blog I'm sure will not be in chronological order like I have done in the past, but at least you'll be able to see what's been going on.
I'm only posting some stuff today...I need to pack Darren and I to stay in Dallas for a week. We're going to have so much fun visiting our family & friends. I can't wait to see all of you.

Can You Say POSSUM
Possum's....WHAT! Ms. Cassie has started working at the animal shelter. She surprised Darren with some orphan baby possums. Darren did pretty good being easy with the possum's, however there were times I thought he was going to squeeze their heads off. I kept telling Ms. Cassie she's a brave woman. With Ms. Cassie working at the animal shelter, I'm thinking Darren's going to be introduced to some pretty exotic animals. Thank You Ms. Cassie for sharing with us.

I have some new posts for y'all to see. For whatever reason I am unable to get the PRE-SCHOOL Easter Gathering Post to show the slide show. I have tried lots of stuff and nothing seems to work. As you can see I had no problem with the slide show with the Venable's, nor on the past slide shows. I'm so confused on what I am doing different on this particular post. I am absolutely past frustration. Please help!!!

Easter with the Venable's

The Venable's asked us to go to Church with them. On this particular day the church had set up a special reading time about Jesus Christ for the kiddoes. After story time the kiddoes went out and hunted for Easter Eggs.
It was kind of interesting...Darren did not want to get dirty...he became this dainty boy. Not real sure where this came from, but he took a lot for him to squat down and get an egg off the ground. It was kind of cute, funny, and interesting. Anyhow, we had a good time and Darren had a lot of help getting the eggs into his basket.

Pre-School Easter Gathering
First United Methodist Church Pre-School had an eventful day for the kiddoes and parents for Easter. It was a lot of fun and well planned out. I love that we were able to get into this school. I'm going to miss Mimi being Darren's teacher next year, but confident that D's teacher next year will be just as fun and loving. Darren's really enjoyed being in Pre-School.

February 2008Darren learned about elephants at Pre-School...
he was so cute wearing this elephant head he made. If you look closely, you can see a peanut at the end of the trunk.
When I saw this elephants head, I instantly thought of my sister & niece...they both like elephants a lot.
